Privacy and cookies

Information on the processing of personal data under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Last updated: 14 October 2026.

1. Data controller

2. What data we collect and why

Contact form. Full name, email, phone (optional) and your message. We use them only to answer your request. Legal basis: your request and pre-contractual measures (Art. 6.1.b GDPR). Retention: up to 12 months after our reply.

Bookings. First and last name, email, phone, dates of stay, number of guests and any notes. Payments are made by bank transfer: the website does not collect card or bank account data. We use the data to manage your booking, payments and communications about your stay. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b) and tax and accounting obligations (Art. 6.1.c). Retention: for the duration of the relationship and, for accounting records, 10 years.

Invoice details (optional). If you ask for an invoice, we collect the invoice name or company name, tax code or VAT number, address and, if you have one, the Italian e-invoice code or certified email, in order to issue it. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c). Retention: 10 years.

Legal obligations about guests. On arrival we collect guests’ identity documents and report them to the police with the Alloggiati Web service (Art. 109 of Italian law TULPS). Where the municipality requires it, we also handle the tourist tax. This data is not collected on the website. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c).

Browsing data. The server hosting the website automatically records IP address, date, time and requested page, for security and proper operation. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f). We do not use it to profile visitors.

3. Cookies

The website only uses technical cookies that are needed for it to work, for example those that remember the dates you chose during a booking or protect forms from automated submissions. We do not use profiling, analytics or advertising cookies and we do not load third-party content (maps, videos, social media) inside the pages. For this reason there is no cookie banner.

Links to Google Maps, WhatsApp and the Moio Bio shop (moiobio.it) lead to websites or apps run by other parties, which have their own privacy notices.

4. Who receives your data

We do not sell or publish your data. It may be processed, as data processors, by our hosting provider (Aruba S.p.A.) and by our tax and accounting advisers, and by public authorities when the law requires it. We do not transfer data outside the European Economic Area.

5. Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and you can object to the processing. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to us from the Contact page or on WhatsApp: we reply within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

Providing booking data is necessary to manage the booking; providing contact form data is necessary to receive an answer.

6. Minors

The website is not aimed at minors. Bookings are accepted from adults only.
